Wendy Figures – Ice Miler!

We are pleased to announce that YOS and Swimyourswim member WENDY FIGURES has had her Ice Mile attempt confirmed by the IISA board, completing her ice mile attempt in 35 minutes and 27 seconds, and becoming the 122nd Ice Miler in the world! Proper Winter Swimming…

On New Years Eve this intrepid band of winter swimmers braved the very cold waters of Harthill Reservoir.  The water temperature was down to 2.4ºC and there was still Christmas snow on the ground.  A brilliant swim by all who took part – followed by hot soup and cake to warm up!!! Weather Report for Winter Swim Club suggests 6ºC

One year on and we’re still shivering!
