What a weekend …

We have seen seven amazing swimmers qualify for their channel relay teams this Saturday.

They join last weekends successful qualifiers Chris Greenwood & Angela Davison.

The swim was completed at Thrybergh Country Park on Saturday in water temperature of 15.3 degrees. (night swim here on the 14th October!).

The incredible two hour swims by Claire Wraither,Malcolm Patrick, Claire Brumby, James Lugg, Janice Taylor, Lesley Hutton and Linda Jordinson were successfully completed on Saturday afternoon after the water at Hatfield was sadly .3 of a degree too warm in the morning for the qualifiers to go ahead.

Not wanting to waste getting up early some of the team had a warm up swim at Hatfield at 8am and then a cold down dip at our Clumber Park night swim at 7pm, keen or what.

The amazing Linda Jordinson not only travelled down from Aberdeen on Friday night but swam in all three lakes on Saturday with Angela, we’re hoping you’ll join us for a more relaxed Christmas dip in December Linda.

The fun packed Saturday was finished off in style with a stunning night swim in the beautiful lake at Clumber Park. We would like to express our sincere thanks to Jo Summers for organising and the National Trust for allowing us to swim in this fantastic location, we hope to be invited back next season.
