It was a beautiful evening for a swim and a run – at least we thought so, as did these intrepid athletes taking part in the SYS Aquathon powered by Aqua Sphere last Wednesday evening at Thrybergh Country Park…

But it was hats off to Tony Ditchburn who romped home in the short course event, and Richard Powell who took the prize in the long course event. As ever though, SYS gave out an additional goody-bag of prizes to the athlete we felt most deserving, and this months’ prize went to Billy Mallinder, for gaining a PB on the long course event.
SYS Aquathons take place once a month, on Wednesday evenings at Thrybergh and Saturday mornings at Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre. Details of the next events are here:
