The second loch in our epic 2026 Iswam series is Loch Lomond.
Loch Lomond is the largest inland stretch of freshwater in Great Britain at approximately 22 miles long and with 22 islands it’s one of the most iconic Lochs in Scotland and at 190 metres it’s the third deepest.
The one way swim route for Swim Loch Lomond will take swimmers a distance of approximately 35k from To Balloch to Ardlui.
Swimmers will need to be able to complete the swim in a maximum time of 16 hours
The swim is suitable for wetsuit or ‘skins’ (Channel swim rules) athletes – however, swimmers should note our regulations on temperatures in their event pack, as at certain temperatures wetsuits will become mandatory. If you want to attempt this swim in ‘skins’ you will need to confirm with SYS that you have the necessary experience and capability of such a swim.

This swim can be completed as a solo, pair or team of three.
This link of £180 is for the deposit, the full balance £1800 will be due in April 2026.
This Fee covers the boat and two crew for the swim which is fully insured and operated by qualified RYA Level 2 Powerboat license holders with Open Water Safety & First Aid training.
