Christmas Party 2021 … Open for Booking

Events, Day 5 …..

We are having a Christmas party and we’d love you to be there to celebrate all of your successes in 2021. Whether it’s been starting to swim outdoors, learning a different stroke, entering an event or swimming the channel we want to share an evening celebrating your achievements.

The Hatfields is a great pub just around the corner from Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre, where we swim each week. We’ll be having a 3 course Christmas meal there on 12th December, from 7pm which will include live entertainment again this year so bring your dancing shoes and dress up, it’ll make a change from six months in pyjamas or a swimming costume.

Tickets cost £25.00 ( book here ), and you just need to book them through this site, and then let us know by email (info@swimyourswim.com) what you’d like from the following menu choices:

STARTERS 

RED PEPPER AND TOMATO SOUP V Topped with fresh pea shoots, cream and a crispy croûte. Served with a bread roll and butter. 

VE When served without the cream and butter. 

PRAWN COCKTAIL 

Prawns topped with Marie Rose sauce on crisp lettuce with a dusting of paprika. Served with brown bread and butter. 

CHICKEN, GARLIC AND SMOKED BACON PÂTÉ
A smooth chicken pâté, with smoked bacon and garlic. Served with caramelised onion chutney and lightly toasted bread. 

MINI BREADED CAMEMBERT V*
Two mini Camembert, breaded and deep-fried until golden. Served with a salad garnish and caramelised red onion chutney.
CAUTION, hot cheese may ooze! 

Mains 

ROAST TURKEY 

Slices of succulent roast turkey, served with roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables, pigs in blankets, sage and onion stuffing, herb seasoned gravy and cranberry sauce. 

BEEF WITH BRAISED ONIONS 

Slices of roast beef topped with a
rich gravy and whole braised baby onions. Served with roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables. 

BRIE AND BACON BURGER 

Double stacked beef burgers in
a toasted bun topped with crispy bacon, cranberry sauce and melted Brie, skewered with pigs in blankets and served with chips. 

PARSNIP AND SWEDE ROSTI V
A combination of finely shredded root vegetables loaded with a spiced cranberry relish and topped with indulgent Brie cheese. Served with roast potatoes, seasonal vegetables and a jug of herb seasoned gravy.
VE When served without the Brie. 

MEDITERRANEAN STYLE COD 

A grilled cod loin topped with a rich tomato and rosemary sauce. Served with roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables. 

Desserts 

CHRISTMAS PUDDING V
A classic pudding made with sultanas, citrus peel and rum. Served with brandy sauce .
VE When served with vegan vanilla flavour ice cream. 

BELGIAN CHOCOLATE AND
RASPBERRY TRUFFLE

A rich Belgian chocolate and coconut truffle topped with a creamy raspberry non-dairy cream, finished with a dark bubble chocolate shard, raspberries and dusted with sweet snow. Served with vanilla flavour ice cream.
VE When served with vegan vanilla flavour ice cream. 

VERY BERRY CRUMBLE V
Mixed red berries topped with a crunchy cardamom crumble. Served warm with custard.
VE When served with vegan vanilla flavour ice cream. 

RASPBERRY AND WHITE
CHOCOLATE MERINGUE

A slice of rich hand-made roulade filled with whipped cream, raspberry sauce and white chocolate chips. Served with vanilla flavour ice cream. 

CHEESE AND BISCUITS V
Stilton, Brie and Cheddar cheese served with biscuits, grapes, celery and caramelised red onion chutney.
