Svalbard 2026 - Deposit for the ultimate adventure

Description:

So where in the world can you do your ultimate cold water 1000m qualifier? How about in the icy waters surrounding Svalbard, the most northerly town in the world!

Swimming alongside a glacier has got to be the coolest place you'll ever choose to swim. En route to the swim spot you'll have the opportunity to see Reindeer, Seals and with a little bit of magic Polar bears and Whales ( don't worry if we see Polar bears you'll be swimming somewhere else.).

The trip will cover the following, but exclude flights and your evening meal, there's a large number of restaurants available with cooking facilities at the guest house if you want to self cater. Buying lunch or food to prepare is easy, there's a large coop in Svalbard packed with food that caters for everyone from around the world ( there are people from 50 nations living and working on Svalbard ) Ideally we would love to get everyone together for an evening meal or drinks-

4th May Day 1 Arriving in Longyearbyen you will be picked up and transferred to the guesthouse

5th May Day 2. Explore, Husky cafe, harbour sauna, relax

6th May Day 3. Swim Day

7th May Day 4. Svalbard sightseeing day

8th May Day 5. Your day to take up one of the additional / optional day trips or to chill and relax

Included

- Airport transfers in Svalbard

Excluding

- Flights from/to, flights from Manchester are currently around £600, Heathrow flights are cheaper, around £545. Please Note there may be up to four connecting flights so there will be a little bit of walking during the transfers and possibly a hotel stop in Oslo depending on transfer times ( I've managed so if you're any level of fitness above me you'll be fine, and to be honest an asthmatic hippo has a better fitness level than me ). Our Flight with SAS From Heathrow has one connection at Oslo so no layovers.

- Food and drinks ( breakfast is included ) evening meal budget between £30 - £40 if you're eating out per meal with a drink. There is a self catering kitchen in the guest house and a M&S style COOP in Svalbard so you'll be able to purchase anything you need.

Cost - This sign up is for a 10% deposit of £200 with the remaining balance being due in March 2026 of £1800.00
