The second loch in our epic 2024 Iswam series is Loch Lomond.
Loch Lomond is the largest inland stretch of freshwater in Great Britain at approximately 22 miles long, with 22 islands it’s one of the most iconic Lochs in Scotland and at 190 metres it’s the third deepest.
The one way swim route for Swim Loch Lomond will take swimmers a distance of approximately 35k from To Balloch to Ardlui.
Swimmers will need to be able to complete the swim in a maximum time of 16 hours
The swim is suitable for wetsuit or ‘skins’ (Channel swim rules) athletes – however, swimmers should note our regulations on temperatures in their event pack, as at certain temperatures wetsuits will become mandatory. If you want to attempt this swim in ‘skins’ you will need to confirm with SYS that you have the necessary experience and capability of such a swim.
The slots will be available on July 17th, 19th & 21st, this link is for a 10% deposit only and will secure your place until January 2024 when the remaining balance is due. This swim can be completed as a solo, pair or team of three and strictly on a first come first served basis with the slots being allocated according to the order of booking.
