Windermere is the largest natural lake in  England at a staggering 10.5 miles long.  This end-2-end swim is one of the most iconic in the Open Water season.

The swim will start early on the Sunday morning the 25th of August 2019 from the marina in Fell Foot Park, which is located at the southern end of the lake, we will then follow a course north, finishing at Waterhead, Ambleside.  The swim will be approximately 16/17km in length – 10.5miles.

The swim will start on Saturday morning, 13th of July,  from the beach near to the Brown Howe car park (on the south west shore of the lake), with entrants swimming across the lake, towards Peel Island, and then following the eastern shore, finishing at the north of the lake near Coniston village.  The swim will be approximately 8km in length – 5.25miles.
