We are delighted to share this post – These four young people have worked extremely hard over the last 12 months to prepare for their charity relay swim of Windermere in August. Each swimmer will take their turn in swimming the 10.5 miles of the longest lake in England.

In Ava’s words …….Hi my name is Ava I am 12 years old & was diagnosed in 2019 with type one diabetes , I am wanting to raise money not just for a great charity but show other people with type 1 that you can still do anything you want even with Type 1. So me and 3 of my swimming friends have decided to take on the challenge of swimming Lake Windermere in a relay team each swimming for 1 mile at a time.
