The YOS Winter Swim Club, based at Harthill Reservoir, will now be at 2.30pm on Saturday 13th December – due to a Christmas Clay Pigeon Shoot event that lots of us are attending. You can find out more about the shoot here if you’d like to join us!
This Saturday’s swim is going to be a cold one! Last Saturday we had an water temperature of 5.7ºC, and with the UK being hit by the cold weather ‘bomb’ (as described by the MET office) we are expecting the water temperature to have dropped significantly… We think it may even be as low as 4ºC – now that’s PROPER winter swimming!
If you’re a part of our Winter Swim Club please come prepared for a very cold swim – bring some extra layers to put on after your swim and don’t forget your woolly hat!!!
This will be penultimate Harthill swim of 2014 – the last one being on New Years Eve – we’re hoping to see you all there to say goodbye to 2014 in true swimming style!
