Have you signed up for an open water swim event this year?  Maybe you’re trying to raise some money for a charity and you’re attempting the Great North swim, or perhaps you’re undertaking a personal challenge like an open water triathlon???

Already during this last month we have had the privilege of taking 28 people through our Introduction to Open Water Swimming Course – or ‘iTOWS’ as we call it around here!

The course is designed to give ‘newbies’ to open water swimming the confidence to transition from pool swimming and, through a safe coached swim session, enable them to learn about their ability to cope with the exhilarating open water conditions.

Our course involves a short classroom session looking at open water safety, kit, and safe methods of cold water acclimatisation – all things needed for a safe and enjoyable swim.  We will simply teach you to recognise your own strengths and weaknesses so you’re able to swim your swim!

So, whether you just fancy trying a swim in the open, or if you’re attempting your first open water triathlon this year – why not get signed up for the iTOWS course now.

We have courses available on SATURDAY AFTERNOONS at Harthill Reservoir (nr. Sheffield), and THURSDAY  EVENINGS at Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre (nr. Doncaster)

The iTOWS course costs £25 per person (plus swim fees – which differ at locations*)  and can be booked by following this link: www.swimyourswim.com/event-calendar  Just select ‘iTOWS’ from our CATEGORY menu.  Then search our calendar for the venue and course date you’d like…  Clicking on the course will take you to a registration page.

We look forward to seeing you in the water soon!
