Circuit Drills – session two Tonight saw 52 swimmers taking to the lanes for the second coached session of the series which involved the swimmers circuit training using our favourite swim drills. Saturday saw the begining of our winter swim clubs at Hatfield and Thrybergh with 15 amazing swimmers starting their winter swim journeys. Everyone came out smiling (they may have just been frozen grimaces but we’ll go with smiles) and seemingly enjoyed their 14.6º degree venture into open water after attending the first of 6 introduction courses. What a weekend … We have seen seven amazing swimmers qualify for their channel relay teams this Saturday. They join last weekends successful qualifiers Chris Greenwood & Angela Davison. The Winter Swim Club a 6 session course designed to safely introduce and acclimatise you to open water swimming at low (winter) temperatures (varying from approximately 12ºC down to 5ºC). If you have NEVER swum in winter-temperature open water WE RECOMMEND completing the WINTER SWIM CLUB course before swimming in water under 12ºC, but the course is NOT COMPULSORY at our venues.
