Solo Swims of Windermere in 2017

2017 is going to be an exciting year for SYS and we hope that our plans will include you!   We have been inundated with requests to Swim Windermere, and so – along side our group swim in August, and the success of our solo swims last year, we are excited to announce a number of dates that are available for those of you who want to attempt the 10.5 miles of Windermere solo!

The cost of the solo swim event is £350, for which you get one-to-one powered boat support and the experience of two expert Open Water Swimming Coaches in Alistair and Leon, who have a vast knowledge and personal experience of swimming this iconic water.

To sign up, you simply need to click on an available date, and fill in the registration form – not forgetting to complete the swim fee payment which guarantees your place*.

Swimmers can complete the swim in either a wetsuit or ‘skins’ – though you will need to demonstrate to the team that you have the relevant skins experience before starting the swim.

* With the weather and water conditions sometimes being unpredictable, SYS cannot guarantee the swim takes place on the date you select.  If we are unable to start the swim on the date you have booked we will try and rearrange the swim for another date in the same swim season.
