STAnley Visits Eastwood Village Primary School

On Tuesday SwimYourSwim had the privilege of delivering a water safety message at Eastwood Village Primary School. The talk was delivered utilising the RNLI’s float to stay alive initiative and the STA’s own comprehensive and fun water safety message booklet, specifically created for younger children .

The Head was keen to deliver a water safety message to the children before they broke up for their summer holidays and to make sure that they were aware of the potential hazards surrounding the lakes, rivers and canals nearby, and more importantly, what to do if they saw someone in trouble in open water.

The children were amazing and full of questions, we even had a special guest appearance from STAnley the STA’s safety seal who helped deliver the talk reinforcing the message not to go into open water alone and always stay with an adult.

You can download the STA water safety booklet for free, its full of word search puzzles and colouring in pages, all designed around water safety.

Please feel free to share the downloads and help us to reduce the risk of young people drowning in open water this summer.
