The First Coach Development Day at Swimcube

Sunday saw six STA open water coaches attending the first coaching development day held in partnership with SYS & Stuart Hacker at the Swimcube.

The day consisted of pool time for each coach with video analysis, stroke corrections and drill training. The in water feedback and general discussions were a great way to not only improve their personal swimming technique but also helping to improve their delivery when coaching their own swimmers.

The lovely Raf Oya during his pool session receiving feedback from Stuart, Paul, Heather and Kay. If you ask him nicely there’s a great meme from his swim which has been created by Stuart which will make you smile.

Live video feed from the pool which is a great visual aid when discussing stroke corrections and how well the drills have been implemented to improve technique.

We’ve made a few tweaks after our own feedback and look forward to the next course which will be announced soon.  A big thank you to Paul Gamble, Izzy Fisher, Kay Southwell, Heather Schelhase, Raf Oya and Andy Butler for making the day so much fun and to Nicky Evans for her fantastic help and support .

In the meantime you can book a 1-1 session with Stuart by visiting his website – Click Here you’ll definitely leave a better more confident swimmer.
