This years event has been dominated by some incredible swimming from our younger swimmers with the lead team of Lucas, Ava and Paige from Armthorpe Kingfishers coming in at 2hrs 45mins, followed closely by solo swimmer Sam Buckley (14). Sam’s lane ( a proper family affair ) also had Molly and Sophie (11) sharing their 10k and also finishing in a very respectable time.
The event was made up of 13 solo swimmers, 6 teams of 2, 1 team of three and three teams of four, covering a total distance of 205,800 metres, not bad in four hours.
Unfortunately Angela was counting today so the photography was left to me and I’m rubbish so please accept my apologies if I have missed you.
A big thank you to everyone that swam today and to all of our amazing volunteers who counted laps, awesome ticking ( 4116 ticks to be precise ).
