Here’s a list of our upcoming events and what’s on between now and Christmas in addition to our normal swimming sessions, there’s a warm welcome waiting so come and join us.
Swimyourswim are hosting a special Bonfire Night Swim at Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre, near Doncaster on Tuesday 5th November 2019. Registration will be open at 5.30pm with swimming at 6pm to 7.30pm
All you need is to book in, pay the £6.50 entry fee, then turn up on the night and swim!
There will be pie and peas and hot chocolate ( with a vegan option available ) available to purchase from the cafe for £6 as a meal deal after the swim.
Ice Mile Qualifier Event
SYS are running a 1km ICE MILE QUALIFYING EVENT on Saturday 30th November, from 8am -10am, at Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre, near Doncaster
The event will cost £10 and provide you with an opportunity to swim a 1km distance in temperatures (hopefully) at 6ºC or under… We will then be able to complete your ICE MILE QUALIFYING SWIM FORM.
SYS will provide all the safety cover and experience that is needed for a successful ICE MILE QUALIFIER so that you can go on to attempt your full ICE MILE…
You just need to complete the registration form below, and bring with you a Supporter who can help with your recovery and, if necessary, drive you home again!

SYS Christmas Party
We are having a Christmas party and we’d love you to be there. The Hatfields is a great pub just around the corner from Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre, where we swim each week, and we’ll be having a 3 course Christmas meal there on 12th December, from 7pm and includes live entertainment this year ( bring your dancing shoes).
Tickets cost £20.00 each and you just need to book them through this site, and then let us know by email (firstname.lastname@example.org) what you’d like from the following menu choices:
TOMATO SOUP (V)
With a cheese croûte and bread roll.
KING PRAWN COCKTAIL
With brown bread.
CHICKEN, GARLIC AND SMOKED BACON PÂTÉ
A smooth chicken liver pâté, flecked with smoked bacon and infused with garlic. Served with an ale & caramelised onion chutney and lightly toasted bread.
All the main courses are served with roast potatoes and seasonal vegetables.
Roast Turkey – Hand-carved and served with sage and onion stuffing, pork, chipolata sausage and cranberry sauce.
Beef and Rioja Pie– Slow cooked beef in a rich Rioja wine gravy, all encased in a crispy pastry and topped with a puff pastry lid.
Parsley Cod – A baked cod loin topped with a rich parsley sauce.
Candled Nut Roast (Ve) – Candled cashews pecans and almonds with peanut butter, butternut squash, spinach and root vegetables. Topped with a sticky red onion and black cherry relish.
Christmas Pudding (V) – With brandy butter flavoured ice cream
Chocolate and Cherry Cheesecake. A chocolate biscuit base, topped with an indulgent chocolate and cherry cheesecake, finished with a layer of chocolate ganache. With vanilla flavoured ice cream.
Damson Gin Orchard Pie (V). A slice of pie served with Kentish Bramley apple and gin infused British Damson and Stanley plum jam. Served warm with custard. Vegan when served with vegan vanilla ice cream.
Cheese & Biscuits (V). Stilton, Brie and Cheddar Cheese with biscuits, grapes and caramelised red onion chutney.
