Level 2 Award for Open Water Safety
The STA Award for Open Water Safety qualification is aimed at open water
swimming coaches and those who provide lifesaving cover during structured
open water activity sessions. It enables the holder to initiate the Emergency
Action Plan, respond to an emergency and support the casualty to prevent the
situation from worsening until further assistance arrives.

Level 2 Award in Open Water Swimming Coaching
The STA Award in Open Water Swimming Coaching will enable holders to coach swimmers in open water swimming techniques in an open water environment. From swimmers who are entering open water for the first time or to develop swimmers who wish to partake in an open water event.
