Swimming News – April 2015

swimmingnews01The swim season is well underway so we are launching SWIMMING NEWS which will contain all the vital SWIMYOURSWIM information for the month!

Swimming is now underway at ALL THREE of our venues, however, please keep you eye out on the CALENDAR for detailed information about the venues and swim times.

Please note that due to the Bala End-2-End event on 2nd May, and another event happening on 25th April, our Saturday morning swims at Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre are OFF until 9th May.  DO NOT WORRY THOUGH – we will still be there EVERY THURSDAY (6-8pm).

SYS-end2endswims2015

That leads us nicely to the Bala End-2-End swim – we have about 20 intrepid swimmers signed up so far to swim the length of Wales’ largest lake.  Llyn Tegid is a beautiful lake right in the heart of Snowdonia, and an epic swim to start this season.  If you would like to sign up THERE ARE A FEW PLACES LEFT… just go to our event registration page…

SYS-coachedlanesessions-choppypool

Our Sunday evening lane swims come to an end this coming Sunday (26th April) – we know that many people have enjoyed these sessions – but it really is time to get back into the open water, after all that’s what we’ve been coaching you towards!!!

iTOWS-01The SYS iTOWS courses are up and running, so if you have never swum in open water and you’ve gone and signed up for an open water swimming event (or you know someone who has…) please point them towards the iTOWS Course page – at £20 the course is a MUST for getting yourself prepared for that transition from pool to open water!

iTOWR-01Alongside the iTOWS is our iTOWR – the introduction to open water racing.  We run these group sessions in both pool and open water, and aim to give you as near race-environment as possible as we coach you racing in open water.  You can find out more here: iTOWR Course info

So, there’s lots going on – keep an eye out for more SWIMMING NEWS next month!
