Winter Swimming CPD

SwimYourSwim are delighted to announce that in association with the STA, the launch of our new winter swimming CPD course in January 2019.

The course has been created to develop the knowledge and safe recovery processes of those wishing to help and assist individuals swimming over winter in cold water ( ideally, but not limited to, water temperatures of 5ºC or less ).

The attendees will be involved in all aspects of an ice mile or qualifier attempt, from the swimmers briefing, pre swim preparation and data recording to stroke rate monitoring and post swim recovery.

You will be spending around 30 minutes on the safety rib so warm, waterproof clothing is essential, buoyancy aids are provided as well as tea and coffee.

There will be a full debrief at the end of the morning and the course attendees will be awarded with an STA certificate and one CPD point on completion.

You will be required to arrive at Hatfield Outdoor Activity Centre by 8.30am on the morning you have registered for.
