The Yorkshire Outdoor Swimmers WINTER SWIM CLUB launched this afternoon with a chilly swim in 10ºC water at Harthill Reservoir. Fifteen open water swimmers braved the cold water for their first winter dip – and all surpassed themselves!
Our wetsuited-wonders didn’t leave all the cold fun to the 5 ‘skins’ swimmers and all ‘double-dipped*’ to enhance their winter swim acclimatisation with several laps of Harthill’s short-course swim loop (about 200m).
The Winter Swim Club is running at Harthill Reservoir, near Sheffield/Rotherham and Activities Away, Lincoln over the next few months. You can still sign up for a chilly-swim here
