A very big thank you to everyone that made our first winter swim camp at Torran Bay, Loch Awe such an enjoyable and successful event. We’ll be back again for our summer camp in June 2023 so keep an eye out for the release date in January.
The “awesome” swimmers couldn’t complete their planned ice miles due to the water temperature being 5.8ºC. Contingency plans were in place so we switched to ‘Nice Miles’ after their 1k qualifying swims.
The STA endorsed winter CPD also ensured that everyone benefitted from Swimyourswim’s ice experience with sessions on shoreside, boat and recovery support.
As always a huge thank you to our fantastic crew, Joe, Chris, Stuart Kevin, Angela, Tracy C, Jane M Penny and the amazing doctor Coire Smith, our brilliant guest speaker Jonty Warneken, chef Katrina Collins and Gareth ( checkout Shed 38 ) Al and all the team who stayed behind at Hatfield & Thrybergh so our regular swimmers could get their icy swims as well.
