We are thrilled to announce that, subject to verification by the International Ice Swimming Association (IISA), Hazel Killingbeck yesterday became the youngest person in the world to complete a Ice Mile swim! On New Years Eve this intrepid band of winter swimmers braved the very cold waters of Harthill Reservoir. The water temperature was down to 2.4ºC and there was still Christmas snow on the ground.
